Louisa died in 1873 according to family tradition and I find no trace of her and her family in the 1870 census.

I am looking for information on my great grandfather Walter Lee GREENWOOD b. 1868 in Georgia. He married Fanny COWAN b. 1874 in Tenn. (The census records that would contain he and his parents was burned by Gen. Sherman in Atlanta.) Family history says their home in Georgia was near, (within sight of), Lookout Mt. in N.W. Corner of the state, (just across the border from Chattanooga, Tn). When civil war fighting got to close the family relocated then or later to Ellis Co. Freestone Co., TX, graduated Wiley College in Marshall, & Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. He built Bluitt Sanitarium, the first African-American hospital in Dallas, at the corner of Pearl/Commerce. He was an important early black leader in Dallas.

She married James BARROW some time before 1895 and they resided in Dallas Co., Collin Co. in 1902 and Denton Co. in 1910. They had the following children, Myrtle, Clarance, Alfred, Albert, Lonnie, Dolph, and Clyde. Mary PATTERSON had a brother named Charles PATTERSON, still alive in 1961 when she died.
