BILYEU (BALEW in listing),Martin was listed in the 1880 Collin CO. census with wife (Mary IRBY)& daughter. He is my great grand father. He was born in 1860 I'm not sure where but possibly in MO. He died in OK in 1906 & was in OK as early as 1903. The person next to him on the census was BALLOW, John. I think both census spellings are corruptions & they may be brothers or cousins. Wishful thinking perhaps. Martin & Mary Married in Dallas Co. 1 July 1878 (name spelled Bauard in the typed version of that record) These are the only records I have. If anyone can help me I would be most grateful. Land records list him & at least tell me when he came to Collin Co. & when he left. Thanks so much for any help.

RUTLEDGE, EDWARD LEWELLYN, WILLSON (WILSON?) ETTA MAE, RUTLEDGE, THOMAS DOW. I'm seeking ANY information about my father and his parents. My dad, THOMAS DOW RUTLEDGE, was said to have been born in McKinney, TX on May 26, 1904. His parents were said to have been EDWARD LEWELLYN RUTLEDGE AND ETTA MAE WILLSON (WILSON?). Thomas was supposed to have an older sister, but I don't know her name. When he was about five years old, his father and mother divorced and his father left for the Colorado silver mines. At age five, Thomas' mother put him on a train for Montgomery County, Missouri to live with his maternal aunt (Etta's sister - given name unknown) who had married a farmer named ROBERT GUILL. Thomas was given the name THOMAS ROBERT GUILL while he lived with his aunt, but he had it legally changed back to RUTLEDGE while he was serving in the navy during the 20's. I am searching for MCCLENDONS/MCLENDONS/MCCLELONS who resided in Kaufman County in the early 1900's to the present. My family came to Kaufman County from Cherokee County,Cuney,Tx. It is very Possible that My greatgrandfather,Lem(Lee)MCLENDON altered both his first and last name for some reason. My grandmother spelled her name with two c's(FANNIE M. MCCLENDON). Helping College friend, Rev. Verlon Brown of Seattle, research his Afro- American roots in Texas. His mother was EDOMONIA HARDIN; her parents MARK HARDIN and MARY, (maiden name not known). Married circa 1909. They are on the 1920 census farming in Dallas county [ED 109,14A, lines 17-20]. By 1927 they had moved to Fort Worth where Mark was janitor at Terrell High School. Looking for any information on Manetta or Minetta CLARK. She was also called Nellie and Nettie. Maiden name was STOCKWELL. Born in Iowa to Ira and Sarah STOCKWELL. Nellie married A.D.(arthur) CLARK in 1870 in Iowa. They later started a mill in Hoxie,TX, probably lumber. Nellie and Arthur had a daughter Helen, son Fred and possiblyanother daughter. Nellie and Arthur may have relocated in the Dallas area later. Nellie traveled frequently between approx. 1872-1912 to Iowa to visit family. I am presuming she died in TX in the Hoxie or Dallas area sometime after 1912. Any information concerning her, Arthur or their children and descendants is desperately wanted.
