The LostCousins website has a unique system that identifies living relatives who share the same ancestors automatically, confidentially, and with close to 100% accuracy.

Genealogy LookUp Forum is a web site of volunteers who will do various types of look ups in many states such as Birth, Death, Census, Cemetery, Marriage, and obituaries.

Connecticut Society of the Sons of the American Revolution

Joseph Melvin Leonard Camp No.168 "New England Camp" Sons of Spanish American War Veterans.

An online database run by the United States National Park Service will allow you to search for ancestors who fought on either side in the American Civil War. The database contains over 6 million records. Found it a little slow to respond, but is well worth the wait. Follow the "the system" links on the right side of the screen to begin your search

Orthodox Church in America - Parishes, Institutions, and Monasteries in Connecticut.

Karen's List of Connecticut Resources includes the ROOTS-L Databases and Files and the ability to do a search of Connecticut Surnames in the Roots Surname List.

The Ancestry site contains several searchable databases, including Early CT Marriages Prior to 1800 and Appendices of The Real Founders of New England. If you cannot connect to this site right away, be patient, this site receives alot of traffic.

Early Governors of Connecticut from 1639-1797

WPA Life Histories are first person accounts of life in Connecticut.

American Life Histories from the American Memory Library of Congress contains first person life accounts compiled by the WPA in 1936-1940.

AncientFaces is the visual genealogy website that has thousands of old photos visitors are sharing for free. We also offer a military section just for military photos that contains hundreds of photos covering multiple wars.
